Study Hall With a View
Sometimes, the library doesn’t cut it when it's time to study. In 1979, three Sull Ross State University students felt it was time for a new view. They hauled a desk and chair up to the top of Hancock Hill, where they spent afternoons and evenings studying at this spot, taking in the great views of the Texas sun and expansive plains. One of the students had a notebook with him and jotted down some scribbles. When they returned later, someone had responded. So began a tradition spanning 40 years and countless notebooks.
