▶ MAR10 Day 2024 — A brief ~3 minute video from Nintendo with some Mario related news. Miyamoto shares that a second Mario movie is on the way, and we get dates for some upcoming games — more on this below. Nintendo of America // YouTube Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Luigi’s Mansion 2 release dates confirmed — Curiously, the dates for both of these fall on a Thursday, not Nintendo's usual Friday launch day. Jordan Middler // VGC Three more Mario Game Boy titles are coming to Switch Online next week — Dr. Mario, Mario Golf, and Mario Tennis are arriving on NSO in just two days. Still no Super Mario Land though. The two Game Boy Color sports titles have interesting story modes worth checking out if you haven't played them before. Chris Scullion // VGC ICYMI The State of Switch Survey for 2024 — The initial response to the survey has been great, with over 2,000 responses so far, and coverage in Nintendo Life — if you'd like to help spread the word, pick your poison: Twitter, Mastodon, Bluesky, Threads. 💕 BTW, you can get eShop credit just for taking part. Switch Weekly Switch Emulator Yuzu is dead, 3DS emulator Citra also affected — Well, that was all over rather quickly. Kevin Wammer // overkill WTF happened to Yuzu, and what comes next? — A sound look at the likely repercussions following the recent Yuzu drama. Wes Fenlon // Read Only Memo Emulators will always outlive Nintendo — "Nintendo’s strong-arming of the Switch emulator Yuzu shows how little the company understands its own fan base. Emulators will not die so quietly". Ernie Smith // Tedium Akira Toriyama, the Dragon Ball, Dragon Quest, and Chrono Trigger artist that inspired the world — RIP. The truly widespread outpouring of love for his work and creations has been lovely to see. Alana Hagues // Nintendo Life REVIEW Berserk Boy is a satisfying modern take on Mega Man —"one of the better recent attempts to bring the 16-bit era into the 2020s" Chris Scullion // VGC REVIEW Unicorn Overlord —"this is one of the best strategy games released in a generation" Joshua Lindquist // RPG Fan What a potential post-Xbox future could mean for Sony and Nintendo Leo Lewis & David Keohane // Financial Times (Ars Technica) Help! I can't stop playing card games on Switch Jim Norman // Nintendo Life REVIEW New Star GP —"an unconventional mix of arcade and sim" that will appeal to those seeking a casual racer. Philip Orona // Nintendo World Report Every game company should be celebrating its history like The Making Of Karateka — "kinda feels like discovering a new art form. Not a new genre, bigger than that." Andrew King // The Gamer It’s 10 years since Gamergate – the industry must now stand up to far-right trolls Keza MacDonald // The Guardian It's time for Mario's weird minigames to make a comeback Jim Norman // Nintendo Life
All releases are digital, Europe & U.S. unless otherwise stated. ⭐️ = Ones to Watch · 📦 = Physical release · 🎮 = Demo available
